Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION

This position will be a member of the NOV Corporate Procurement Team based in Houston, Texas. The Procurement Category Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing strategic sourcing initiatives across the organization. The position shall work closely with NOV site personnel as well as manufacturers and distributors to bring value to the organization. The successful candidate will possess an understanding of supply chain fundamentals, a strong work ethic and be a self-starter with the ability to bring complex projects to conclusion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies for assigned category(s) with initial focus on Security and Temp Labor
  • Conduct market research and supplier analysis to identify cost-savings opportunities
  • Prepare and execute RFQ's and RFP's
  • Negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships (including but not limit to; Negotiation of pricing, discount structures and commercial terms.)
  • Analyze spending patterns and develop strategic sourcing plans
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business needs
  • Track and report on key procurement performance metrics
  • Perform other work-related task as assigned
  • Comply with all NOV policies and procedures

Qualifications:

  • Four Year Bachelor's Degree
  • 10+ years experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, or a Senior Buyer role
  • Prior procurement experience in the Security and / or Temp Labor markets
