Job Description :
GENERAL OVERVIEW:
Provides care to women and their families throughout their lifespan.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs procedures within the scope of midwifery practice as defined by the American College of Nurse Midwives and outlined in the practice guidelines. (50%)
Performs assessments of physical, psychosocial and educational needs. (25%)
Provides diagnosis and order appropriate treatment and medication. (25%)
Performs other duties as assigned or required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum
Graduate of Nurse Midwife Program accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education (ACME)
Current State of PA RN licensure OR Current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
Certification from American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB)
Current PA Midwifery license with prescriptive authority
Current PA driver's license
CPR - American Heart Association
Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
Preferred
1-3 years' midwifery experience
