Job Title: Store Cleaner / Maintenance Associate Location: Express Lane New London Deli and Market (may support other locations as needed)

Job Overview We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Store Cleaner / Maintenance Associate to help keep our convenience store spotless, organized, and fully stocked. This role focuses on essential cleaning, trash removal, restroom upkeep, cooler stocking, shelf organization, and general store tidiness. The position features a split-shift schedule to cover both day and night operations: you'll perform morning tasks to start the day fresh and return in the evening/night to handle closing/prep duties. This ensures the store stays clean and ready for customers around the clock.. Weekend and holiday availability required.

Key Responsibilities

1. Clean and sanitize bathrooms thoroughly, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, floors, and fixtures; restock supplies (paper towels, soap, toilet paper, etc.).
2. Take out trash and recycling from all areas of the store, including indoor bins, restrooms, break areas, and outdoor receptacles; replace liners and ensure proper disposal.
3. Stock coolers, freezers, and shelves with beverages, snacks, dairy, and other products; rotate stock for freshness, face products neatly, and organize displays.
4. Keep the entire store organized and presentable: straighten shelves, face merchandise, clean spills, wipe down surfaces (counters, tables, touch points), sweep/mop floors, vacuum as needed, and remove debris.
5. Clean customer touch points, countertops, fuel station areas , windows, and other high-traffic zones.
6. Perform general maintenance tasks such as reporting issues (e.g., leaks, broken fixtures) and assisting with basic upkeep to maintain a safe, clean environment.
7. Help with stocking or organization during slower periods and support team needs as directed.
8. Wash Dishes and Keep Area Clean and Ready For Use and Health Inspections
9. learn basic register and cash handling functions to help team when needed

Shift Details

1. Split shifts to cover both day and night coverage (e.g., morning shift for opening prep/cleaning and evening/night shift for closing tasks/stock replenishment).
2. Example: Morning (e.g., 6:00 AM – 10:00 AM or similar) and Night (e.g., 8:00 PM – 11:00pm or similar), with flexibility based on store needs.
3. Must be available for weekends, holidays, and varying hours to ensure consistent coverage.

Qualifications & Skills

1. Previous cleaning, janitorial, stocking, or maintenance experience preferred (but not required—we provide training).
2. Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and organization.
3. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
4. Basic physical stamina: able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand/walk for extended periods, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks.
5. Reliable, punctual, and positive attitude; good communication skills.
6. Comfortable working early mornings and late nights/evenings.
