Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume):
Bachelor's degree (foreign equivalent or higher). Two (2) years of full-time experience with research protocols, research subjects, and consenting of participants. Experience working with young children and implementing research protocols within an academic research laboratory. Experience with data processing. Experience working with an electronic database. Experience with the recruitment of study participants.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with children with autism spectrum disorder and/or other developmental disabilities.
Brief Description of Duties: The Clinical Research Associate will work closely with research in Autism screening and training program director to support research and training projects. This position will assist with clinical assessments for children and families participating in research. This staff member will work with people, educational systems, and databases. Specific responsibilities include scoring of testing, data entry into databases, and participation in research and training activities of healthcare and early childhood providers specifically with Autism screening and training program. Research in Autism screening and training program.
Duties: - Assist with setting up research testing rooms, obtaining consent, videotaping when required.
- Score research assessments and enter data into databases; Obtain and track medical records for research subjects.
- Assist with writing up research protocols.
- Participate in all recruitment activities by conducting telephone screening interviews to determine research participant eligibility and track eligibility data and other such as mailings, posting fliers, contacting outside agencies, etc.
- Assist with manuscript and grant preparations by conducting literature searches, developing bibliography and reference pages, editing and formatting documents.
- Assist with developing online training programs, management of registrations for trainings, providing links for the trainings.
- Assist with communication with web learning systems; financial team; trainers and trainees.
- Putting together and mailing RITA-T kits and ordering material when needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Special Notes: The Research Foundation of SUNY is a private educational corporation. Employment is subject to the Research Foundation policies and procedures, sponsor guidelines and the availability of funding. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Minimum salary threshold must be met to maintain FLSA exemption.
