Job Description

Talis Group’s client, a large and highly respected Louisville-based construction company, is experiencing significant growth and is adding an Electrical Construction Project Manager to their team. This award-winning organization is known for delivering complex, high-impact projects with precision, innovation, and operational excellence.

This role will focus on facilities and equipment electrical systems for a major two-year industrial project in the Elizabethtown area, with future opportunities to transition to other regional projects upon completion. If you thrive in a hands-on environment, enjoy leading field operations, and have strong electrical estimating and project management expertise, this is an outstanding opportunity to make your mark. Great salary and benefits including: health, life, disability, dental, 401K match and PTO.

Highlighted Duties:

  • As the Electrical Project Manager, you’ll oversee the full lifecycle of large-scale electrical construction projects—from estimating and budgeting through installation and closeout.
  • Perform electrical take-offs using estimating software.
  • Develop competitive proposals and final bids for industrial and commercial projects.
  • Manage project budgets to ensure financial performance and profitability.
  • Create detailed project schedules (Microsoft Project or other specified programs) including 5-week look-ahead schedules.
  • Coordinate electricians, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Ensure compliance with NEC codes and maintain rigorous safety standards.
  • Review submittals, maintain project logs, and manage deliverables.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, architects, engineers, and clients.
  • Lead meetings, facilitate conference calls, and provide weekly/monthly progress reports.
  • Review and manage contracts and subcontract agreements.
  • Monitor margins, bill rates, utilization, and overall project profitability.
  • You’ll be both a strategic leader and a tactical executor—driving timelines, managing resources, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Highlighted Requirements:

  • Strong project management experience in electrical construction.
  • Electrical Engineering degree or hands-on experience as a licensed electrician.
  • Proven experience performing all levels of electrical estimating (commercial, industrial, institutional).
  • Ability to read and interpret contract documents, drawings, and specifications.
  • Knowledge of branch circuiting, electrical design concepts, and material costs.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project or similar scheduling software.
  • Design-build experience highly preferred.
  • BIM, CAD, and LEED experience a plus.
