Salary: $70,000 - 110,000 per year Requirements:

• Mid-career experience with at least 3 years of relevant experience; recent graduates are not being considered.
• Proficiency in embedded software development and familiarity with embedded development processes, such as Agile.
• Experience developing embedded applications with C and MATLAB Simulink; knowledge of model-based design, Stateflow, and C++ is also relevant.
• Knowledge of embedded operating systems, drivers, hardware concepts, and integration.
• Experience with CAN/J1939 networks and software component unit and functional testing.
• Strong technical problem-solving skills, written and verbal communication, and experience writing and reviewing software requirements.
• Knowledge of software delivery processes.
• A bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent related work experience.
• Desired: experience with control systems for agricultural applications; mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic system design and diagnostics; electronic circuits, schematics, and data sheets; continuous integration and automated build tools; embedded-system emulators, compilers, and simulators; automotive protocols such as CAN, LIN, and Ethernet; and laboratory equipment such as logic analyzers and oscilloscopes.
• Desired: strong interest in embedded engineering and learning new technologies.

• Perform requirements analysis, develop operational concepts and software system designs and architectures, integrate components, conduct design reviews and vehicle-platform testing, and troubleshoot issues.
• Maintain feature-level software architecture across multiple vehicle models and configurations.
• Analyze complex software issues and drive them toward resolution.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and software integration.
• Implement features and resolve defects in accordance with defined software requirements.

We are seeking a Software Engineer for our software development team in Cary, North Carolina. You will collaborate with developers, testers, and stakeholders to deliver optimized, validated embedded software for turf and compact utility tractors, developing, validating, and tuning features for the final product. Our teams plan and prioritize their work, address challenges, and value each members contribution. The position is scheduled for a flexible first shift, generally 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with approximately 10% travel using a personal vehicle for trips of about 2–15 miles and possible factory visits. Metatarsal protection is required and may be reimbursed. The stated assignment runs from November 16, 2026, through November 15, 2027, may be extended, and is non-binding. Visa sponsorship is unavailable now or in the near future. The interview process has two Teams rounds: a 30-minute screening and a one-hour interview; onsite interviews are preferred.
