Job Duties: Workers will perform routine agricultural labor associated with seasonal crop production on a family-operated farm engaged in small grain and row crop farming. Duties include assisting with field preparation, planting, and seeding operations; monitoring crops during the growing season; and performing crop care activities necessary to support healthy growth and yields. Workers will assist with applying crop protection inputs as part of normal field operations and in accordance with farm practices. Duties also include harvesting crops during peak periods using standard agricultural methods and equipment. Workers will operate and assist with standard farm machinery and implements used in planting, cultivating, and harvesting activities. They will perform regular upkeep tasks to keep agricultural equipment and tools in proper working condition throughout the season. Additional duties include general farm labor such as moving materials, cleaning work areas, and supporting daily farming operations as needed during time-sensitive production periods. All work is performed outdoors and is incidental to and in conjunction with crop farming operations. Employment is seasonal and limited to the period of increased labor demand associated with planting, crop care, and harvest activities. Employees will be provided with adequate breaks, including meal and rest periods, consistent with applicable Federal, State, and local law, during the course of each workday.

Special Requirements: Minimum of 3 months experience is required. Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion. Operator License Class D Candidate will have 60 days to obtain. Skill Level II Experienced Level Pursuant to the Interim Final Rule (IFR) implementing the new four-level wage system for H-2A occupations, the employer designates this position as Skill Level II Experienced Level, indicating that the job requires prior related experience, independent judgment in performing recurring tasks, and the ability to work with limited supervision. The employer reserves the right to withhold the applicable housing deduction as permitted under program regulations, when approved and disclosed in the job order.
