Job Title: Forklift Operator and Material Handler ($24/hour)

Job Description

This role involves safely operating a sit-down forklift, handling materials throughout the warehouse, and maintaining accurate inventory counts in a small aerospace environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate a sit-down forklift safely and efficiently to move, load, and unload materials within the warehouse.
• Perform regular inventory counts to ensure stock accuracy and support inventory control processes.
• Handle materials throughout the facility, including staging, organizing, and relocating items as needed.
• Support warehouse operations by packing and packaging materials according to established procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with warehouse standards.
• Assist with general warehouse tasks such as receiving, storing, and preparing materials for shipment.

Essential Skills

• Proven experience operating a sit-down forklift in a warehouse environment.
• Prior warehouse experience moving materials and maintaining inventory.
• Strong material handling skills, including loading, unloading, and staging materials.
• Experience with warehouse inventory processes, including counting and tracking stock.
• Ability to perform packing and packaging tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Attention to detail and accuracy when handling inventory and documentation.
• Commitment to working safely and following warehouse safety procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working in a warehouse supporting manufacturing or industrial operations.
• Familiarity with aerospace or similar high-precision environments.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a small team.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.

Work Environment

The role is based in a small aerospace warehouse environment. You will primarily work in a warehouse setting, operating a sit-down forklift and handling materials throughout the facility. The environment emphasizes safety, organization, and collaboration in a close-knit team setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of COMMERCE, CA.

The pay range for this position is $24.15 - $24.15/hr.
