Advanced Bookkeeper Location: Tyler, TX (In Office) Employment Type: Full-Time Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Advanced Bookkeeper to manage financials across multiple businesses and sets of books. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and takes ownership of their work. The right candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and confident navigating accounting challenges independently while maintaining a positive, team-first attitude. Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and manage multiple sets of books for various business entities
  • Perform accurate and timely daily, weekly, and monthly bookkeeping activities
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and loan accounts
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Prepare and review financial reports, including profit & loss statements and balance sheets
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy across all financial records
  • Identify discrepancies, research issues, and proactively find solutions before escalating
  • Work closely with management, CPAs, and tax professionals as needed
  • Maintain organized documentation and follow established accounting best practices
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes
Required Qualifications
  • Proven experience as an Advanced Bookkeeper or similar role
  • Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online (required)
  • Experience managing multiple businesses or multiple sets of books
  • Solid understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reporting
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines independently
  • Comfortable working with minimal supervision
