Full-time, Year-round Private Housekeeper

Location: Amagansett, New York

Compensation:  $45/hour+ DOE

Job Responsibilities:

• Thoroughly clean and maintain a newly built 10,000 square foot residence year-round.
• Perform daily cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing all areas within the home.
• Care for fine linens, surfaces, and floors, ensuring they are maintained to the highest standards.
• Manage laundry responsibilities including washing, drying, ironing, and organizing clothes and linens.
• Assist with meal preparation as needed, maintaining hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen area.
• Understand that the summer months will be the busiest season and prepare the household accordingly.
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure seamless service during the client's visits.
• Handle household inventory, ensuring cleaning supplies and other essentials are well-stocked and organized.
• Respond promptly to specific cleaning requests from the client and adapt to their preferences.
• Monitor household security and safety, reporting any maintenance issues or concerns immediately.
• Drive to and from the residence, ensuring reliable transportation for all on-site responsibilities.

Essential Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a housekeeping role, specifically in staffed homes in the Hamptons.
• Must live in close proximity to Amagansett. 
• Strong understanding of cleaning techniques and the proper use of cleaning products and equipment.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
• Reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and display a high level of professionalism at all times.
• Knowledge of caring for luxury fabrics and finishes is a significant advantage.
