Job Summary:

You are expected to adhere to the company’s mission, vision and value statements. Be knowledgeable of the company’s management systems, policies and initiatives for Hospitality, Environmental, and Health and Safety.  You have specific responsibilities within these areas and are expected to understand them.  Responsible for providing all traditional golf shop services to the members and guests. Responsibilities include but are not limited to selling and inventory of merchandise, reserving tee-times, answering telephones, checking golfers in and taking green fees, managing flow of golfers, equipment rental and assisting members and guests in all areas. This position is critical to the delivery of world class service and it is the responsibility of clerks to be friendly, courteous and helpful under all circumstances.

Job Specifications:

  • Starting Wage: $20.00/hr - $22.19/hr 
  • Employment Type: Summer Seasonal 2026

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assure that the golf shop, cart barn, staging areas, pro-shop entrances, locker rooms, range area, bag room, bag drop and cart parking areas are clean and organized at all times.
  • Comply with all company procedures for POS and financial controls.
  • You must be committed to superior guest service and quality standards. As a team member of your department you play a key role ensuring the team’s success and achievement of meeting and exceeding our guests’ expectations. Our goal is to receive a minimum of 88% on our guest comment scores.
  • All duties as they relate to guest reservations and guest check-in and collection of all fees.
  • Assist with merchandise management including providing service to the guest, “working” the floor, cleaning and building/changing displays and monitoring inventory.
  • Operate POS system.
  • Assist in implementation of all revenue and service strategies including the daily use of the “service recovery” program.
  • Assist in coordination and production of all golf events per procedures
  • Assist in coordination and production of member golf events.
  • Assist in managing all golf operation supplies, including scorecards, pencils, tees, etc.
  • Follow all guidelines, policies and procedures as they relate to golf, equipment rental, merchandise sales, membership services and guest service programs.
  • All duties as related to the opening and closing procedures of golf shops and outside golf services.
  • Inspect hourly, golf shop and clubhouse entrance perimeter for cleanliness and maintenance of standards.  Also inspect locker rooms and bathrooms for cleanliness and complete hourly, “cleanliness check-off sheets.
  • Assist in administration of the GHIN handicap program.
  • Handle member and guest complaints in a courteous and friendly manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.

The expected pay range is $20.00/hr - $22.19/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
