We are seeking a chef/leader who wants to be join our existing cafe & event catering team.
Strong organizational & time management skills are required.
Bilingual Spanish and English required
Placing vendor orders and staying on budget. Paying attention to shifts in pricing.
Restaurant experience is required, salary is competitive and negotiable with ability to earn bonuses.
Clean driving record preferred so you can drive company vehicles
Our events catering business is fast-paced and requires a great deal of organization as well as attention to detail. Chef must have strong leadership skills with the desire to run the kitchen. Hours can range... Typical week is 7am-3:30pm. However when we have catering and events call time can be as early as 4am or end as late at 2am. Looking for a long term chef to grow with the company. Ability to earn more money and larger bonus with time and ability shown.
• Creative development of menus
• Quality control
• Coach, correct, and cook on line when necessary
• Keep the team in sync and working together, understanding that each cook is part of a whole
• Maintain adequate staffing
• Maintain and develop relationships with vendors
• Upload and track invoices
• Adhere budgets
• Food and menu costs: understand how to cost dishes and price them for menus with fact-based information
• Ordering to minimize waste and not run out of menu items
