Job Description

Our client, a regional healthcare company based in Center City Philadelphia, is hiring a Healthcare Compliance Coordinator to support day-to-day regulatory and compliance operations across its clinical and administrative departments. This role works closely with legal, operations, and clinical leadership to maintain adherence to federal and state healthcare regulations including HIPAA, CMS guidelines, and Pennsylvania Department of Health requirements.

The Compliance Coordinator will conduct internal audits, manage policy documentation, and support staff education initiatives related to compliance standards. This is a hands-on role that requires strong organizational skills and the ability to work across departments to identify and resolve compliance gaps before they escalate.

The right candidate will bring prior healthcare industry experience and a working knowledge of regulatory frameworks, with the ability to communicate compliance requirements clearly to both clinical and non-clinical staff.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine internal compliance audits across clinical and administrative operations
  • Monitor regulatory updates from CMS, HHS, and Pennsylvania state agencies and communicate changes to relevant teams
  • Maintain and update compliance policy and procedure documentation
  • Coordinate and deliver staff compliance training programs
  • Investigate reported compliance concerns and document findings
  • Support preparation for external audits and accreditation reviews
  • Track and manage corrective action plans resulting from audit findings
  • Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for compliance-related questions from department staff

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, public health, business, or a related field
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a healthcare compliance or regulatory affairs role
  • Working knowledge of HIPAA, CMS, and Pennsylvania Department of Health regulations
  • Experience conducting internal audits and preparing compliance documentation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for cross-departmental work
  • Proficiency with compliance management software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a regulated environment
  • Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) credential preferred but not required
