Position: Janitorial Cleaner
Location: Chattanooga National Cemetery, 1200 Bailey Ave., Chattanooga, TN 37404
Schedule: Monday Friday, daytime hours between 7:30 AM and 4:00 PM, including federal holidays
Job Summary
GD Resources is seeking a reliable Janitorial Cleaner to provide daily cleaning and sanitation services at Chattanooga National Cemetery. The cleaner will be responsible for maintaining public restrooms, employee restrooms, office/common areas, breakrooms, locker rooms, showers, floors, entry areas, and related facilities in a clean and sanitary condition.
Key ResponsibilitiesClean and sanitize public and employee restrooms daily.
Clean sinks, mirrors, toilets, countertops, light switches, door handles, and other high-touch surfaces.
Sweep and wet mop tile, concrete, and wood flooring.
Vacuum entry rugs and maintain entrance areas.
Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.
Restock toilet paper, paper towels, soap, and approved air fresheners.
Clean locker rooms, showers, breakrooms, offices, and common areas.
Clean glass, mirrors, brass, and stainless-steel surfaces.
Remove cobwebs, bugs, dust, and debris from entrances and interior areas.
Complete required daily restroom cleaning checklists.
Perform semiannual deep cleaning, including window cleaning, carpet/rug shampooing, air vent cleaning, metal polishing, and floor treatment.
Properly handle cleaning chemicals and follow OSHA and site safety requirements.
Previous janitorial or commercial cleaning experience preferred.
Ability to work independently and maintain a consistent daily cleaning schedule.
Knowledge of proper cleaning, disinfecting, and chemical-handling procedures.
Ability to safely use vacuums, mops, cleaning equipment, and carpet-cleaning equipment.
Must maintain a professional appearance and respectful conduct while working at a National Cemetery.
Must be dependable and able to work federal holidays as required.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks.
Ability to lift and carry normal janitorial supplies and equipment.
Ability to work around cleaning chemicals while using required PPE.
Approximately 4 5 hours per day , Monday through Friday, based on the anticipated cleaning workload.
