Substitute Teachers K-12 Awaken Christian Academy is looking for Substitute Teachers to join our team.

POSITION SUMMARY - This is an on-call, as-needed position, substituting in the absence of a regular ACA employee
JOB QUALIFICATIONS Experience - Teaching experience is preferred, but as a minimum, experience working with children in a structured setting
KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS / ABILITIES (KSAs)- Must have a heart for the mission and a drive of Awaken Christian Academy/Awaken Las Vegas
- Must be dependable, hardworking, innovative, and capable of working independently
- Excellent people skills
- Must be team-oriented: willing to follow, support, and collaborate with team members
- Ability to learn and work quickly, efficiently, with attention to detail
- Must be flexible; able to focus on what needs to happen to reach the goal
- Be optimistic; see the best in others and be able to deal with problems from a solutions orientation
- Presentation skills, to speak in front of others in an engaging and motivating way
- Ability to take the lead or work in a supportive role; work well under the leadership of others
- Not be easily offended
- Must be able to act in accordance with established guidelines
- Must be able to follow standard procedures in crises situations
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Follow teacher lesson plans to the best of your ability
- Utilize prepared materials for class activities
- Submit attendance and any behavior reports as needed
- Enforce rules for behavior and procedures, maintaining order in the classroom
- Communicate any questions or concerns to the administration
- Enforce administration policies and rules governing students
- Additional duties as assigned.
