Position Overview This is a Lecturer opening which is a
non-tenure-track member of the faculty whose primary role is instructional, teaching Pharm D students within the professional pharmacy
program with no obligations to perform research or service. This is a one-year appointment through May 16, 2027. This position will teach
courses within one or more of the departments: Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmacology & Toxicology, and Pharmaceutical Chemistry. This position
will be in-person on the Lawrence, Kansas campus.
Job Description 40% - Delivering education content to enhance
learning outcomes of students.
30% - Designing relevant course materials, lesson plans and participate in curriculum development.
20%
- Providing academic advising, mentoring students, and answering their questions on course materials.
10% - Assessing student progress
through assignments, quizzes, and examinations.
Required Qualifications - PharmD or PhD in a science
related field.
- Knowledge in two or more areas of: modern biochemistry, chemical biology, physiochemistry, medicinal chemistry,
pharmacology, or organic chemistry or related fields.
- Experience teaching professional students, in particular pharmacist
students
Preferred Qualifications - Experience with Canvas
- Prior teaching experience within higher
education
