Connect Staffing seeks an experienced Legal Assistant to support a busy Litigation practice located in Winston-Salem, NC. This role provides administrative and litigation support to attorneys, including document preparation, e-filing, case management, and deadline tracking.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, finalize, and e-file pleadings, motions, discovery, and correspondence in state and federal courts
Format and proofread legal documents for accuracy and court compliance
Maintain case files, calendars, and deadline reminders
Draft routine correspondence and assist with legal document preparation
Enter attorney time and assist with basic billing tasks
Provide general administrative and client service support as needed
Qualifications
3+ years of civil litigation experience in a law firm; federal litigation experience preferred
Familiarity with e-filing systems (e.g., CM/ECF, Odyssey) and court procedures
Strong proofreading, organization, and time-management skills
High attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Professional communication skills and commitment to confidentiality
