We are seeking an experienced Locum Tenens Dentist to provide comprehensive dental services with the Veterans Administration in White River Junction, VT. This position involves delivering high-quality, dental care in both clinic and mobile dental unit settings, while adhering to all applicable state and federal regulations.
The provider will diagnose, prevent, manage, and treat diseases, injuries, and malformations of the teeth, gums, oral cavity, and craniofacial complex.
This role includes clinical care, supervision of dental staff, quality assurance participation, and engagement in pilot program initiatives aimed at improving care delivery and operational efficiency.

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday | 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive dental services within the provider’s licensure and training, including:
Comprehensive dental examinations, diagnosis, and treatment planning
Development of Veteran-centric treatment plans
Phased dental care delivery:
Acute Phase
Disease Control Phase
Definitive Treatment Phase
Maintenance Phase
Restorative procedures (including dental implants)
Preventative services
Oral surgery
Endodontics
Prosthodontics
Periodontics
Stabilization and treatment of acute infections and trauma
Post-operative management and follow-up care
Qualifications
Be a licensed practitioner specializing in dentistry, the branch of medicine focused on the diagnosis, prevention, management, and treatment of diseases, injuries, and malformations of the teeth, gums, oral cavity, and other aspects of the craniofacial complex.
Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from a school accredited by the American Dental Association (ADA), the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA), or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained.
Successful completion of the National Board Dental Examinations (NBDE) administered by the Joint Commission on National Dental Examinations (JCNDE).
Possess a current, full, and unrestricted license to practice dentistry in the state of Vermont, United States.
Minimum of three (3) years of full-time clinical experience as a practicing dentist.
Recent experience serving a diverse adult patient population (recent VA or clinic-based dental experience preferred).
