A large organization in Stony Brook's Dental Care Center is seeking two professional and organized Administrative Temporary Employees for a 6-month assignment. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a critical role in ensuring a seamless clinical experience through efficient scheduling and high-quality patient communication. salary: $17 - $18.25 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 8:30 AM - 5 PM

Responsibilities

• Patient Intake: Greet patients upon arrival, manage the check-in/check-out process, and ensure all registration paperwork is complete and accurate

• Phone Management: Promptly answer incoming calls, address patient inquiries, and route messages to the appropriate clinical staff

• Scheduling: Coordinate and manage appointment calendars for the Dental Care Center, including proactive outbound calling to schedule follow-ups or fill cancellations

• Data Entry: Register new patients within the university system and update existing records with insurance or contact information

• Administrative Support: Maintain a clean and organized reception area while assisting with basic office tasks as needed
