Position Purpose: 

The Meter Reader will be a key part of the SourceOne energy management team responsible for collecting meter information and maintaining good working relationships with all SourceOne customers.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Directly reporting to Supervisor of Energy Management.
  • Professional service to account relationships.
  • Building customer relationships as a key member of management team.
  • Gathering and consolidating data from varied sources.
  • Managing field meter data collection for multiple customers on a daily and monthly basis.
  • Support to field inquiry requests to help manage problem resolution for customer utility-billing issues.
  • Coordinating and assisting with field information for new customer account creation.
  • Support researching and identifying field procedures for the authorizations of access to customer’s meter locations and utility information.
  • Proactively identify abnormal metering situations and advise the Energy Management team.
  • Supporting administrative needs of the business, including but not limited to, accounting, reporting, the sales process, data entry, back-up phone support, and general administration.

Qualifications

Education/Experience/Background: 

  • High School Diploma/GED is required.
  • Some energy, utility or related experience is preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: 

  • Good PC and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Attention to details and ability to review materials for accuracy.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong telephone etiquette.
  • Ability/flexibility to learn and apply new skills.
  • Ability to navigate through a variety of computer applications.
  • Ability to prioritize work.
  • High level of professionalism and integrity.
