Job Description

New World Music & Dance School is seeking a passionate and skilled Musical Theatre Dance Instructor to join our growing performing arts faculty. This position focuses on teaching dance techniques for musical theatre productions and classes, working primarily with children and teens.
The instructor will teach one or more of the following styles: Modern Dance, Jazz, Tap, and collaborate closely with our musical theatre team to prepare students for stage performances, showcases, and competitions.
This is a part-time position with a flexible schedule, ideal for educators and performers who enjoy inspiring young artists in a supportive and creative environment.

Qualifications:

Strong background in one or more of the following dance styles: Modern, Jazz, and/or Tap • Excellent musical theatre choreography skills, with the ability to create age-appropriate, stage-ready choreography for Broadway-style and Junior Theater Festival (JTF) productions • Experience with Broadway-style musical theatre productions, JTF programs, competitions, or showcases preferred • Experience teaching children and/or teenagers, with an understanding of age-appropriate choreography and staging • Ability to teach solid dance technique while emphasizing performance quality, storytelling, musicality, and character development • Strong communication skills and positive classroom management • Reliable, professional, and highly collaborative team player
