Job Description

Long Beach Catholic School is seeking a faithful, caring, and energetic Nursery Aide to join our early childhood team. As a Catholic school, Long Beach Catholic is committed to forming the whole child - mind, body, and heart - in an environment rooted in the Gospel and a love for what is true, good, and beautiful. Our Nursery program provides our youngest students with a joyful, nurturing introduction to school life while helping them grow in faith, independence, friendship, and a love of learning. Responsibilities The Nursery Aide will work closely with the classroom teacher to:

• Assist with daily classroom routines, activities, and transitions
• Help create a warm, welcoming, and orderly classroom environment
• Support students during play, lessons, prayer, meals, and other activities
• Provide attentive and compassionate care for young children
• Assist with classroom setup, organization, and cleanup
• Encourage good manners, kindness, responsibility, and age-appropriate independence
• Support the Catholic identity of Long Beach Catholic School
• Help ensure the safety and well-being of students throughout the school day

• Is faithful and committed to the teachings and mission of the Catholic Church
• Actively participates in the sacramental life of the Catholic Church
• Enjoys working with young children and brings patience, warmth, and enthusiasm to the classroom
• Is dependable, organized, and willing to work collaboratively with the classroom teacher
• Understands the importance of structure, routine, and appropriate expectations for young children
• Is enthusiastic about contributing to a joyful Catholic school community
• Montessori experience a plus
