The Opportunity We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Accountant to join an award-winning global construction firm. This firm has been recognized as one of the Best Managed Companies and Best Places to Work, specializing in high-impact physical brand environments.
In this role, you will act as the financial backbone for a diverse portfolio of creative projects, ensuring that costs, revenue, and budgets are managed with precision. You will collaborate directly with Project Managers and the CFO to drive profitability and maintain strict financial integrity.
Compensation: $80k - $90K + plus robust benefits

Responsibilities
- Manage the full financial lifecycle of assigned projects, from initial budget development to final closeout.
- Generate monthly financial reports, analyze budget-to-actual variances, and provide reliable profit projections.
- Review and validate subcontractor billings, purchase orders, and project invoices to ensure accuracy.
- Execute revenue recognition in strict accordance with GAAP and internal company policies.
- Support critical close activities, including WIP (Work in Progress) schedules, accruals, and account reconciliations.
- Partner with operations and procurement to ensure accurate cost coding and identify potential cost-saving measures.
What You Bring: - Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: 2–5 years of professional accounting experience; a background in project-based accounting is highly preferred.
- Technical Savvy: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience navigating major ERP systems; NetSuite experience a plus.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional organizational habits and the ability to communicate complex financial data to non-finance partners.
