About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Urgent Care / Ambulatory Care for a 19-week contract opportunity in Juneau, Alaska. The RN will provide direct patient care within a fast-paced outpatient clinic while supporting providers, clinical staff, and daily clinic operations.
ResponsibilitiesProvide direct nursing care, patient assessments, clinical interventions, and specimen collection in an urgent care and ambulatory setting.
Collaborate with providers and clinic staff to coordinate efficient, safe, and high-quality patient care.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation while following infection prevention, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Support clinic operations including medication and supply management, Point-of-Care testing quality controls, and opening or closing procedures.
Educate patients, communicate effectively with interdisciplinary departments, and respond appropriately to rapidly changing clinical needs.
Active Alaska Registered Nurse (RN) License Required at Time of Submission.
Minimum 1 Year of Emergency Care Experience Required, Including Emergency Department, Urgent Care, or Flight Nursing.
Recent Urgent Care or Emergency Department Experience Within the Last 2 Years Required.
Current BLS/BCLS Certification Required.
High School Diploma or Equivalent Required; Strong Assessment, Critical Thinking, Communication, Multitasking, and Independent Nursing Skills Required.
