Position: SAP BASIS Consultant
Location: Remote
Position Summary
The SAP BASIS Consultant oversees the setup, performance, security, and lifecycle management of SAP applications across non-production and production landscapes. They ensure high system availability, execute upgrades and migrations, and maintain seamless integration across SAP HANA, S/4HANA, ECC, and third-party systems.
Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain SAP system landscapes (ECC, S/4HANA, BW, CRM, Solution Manager).
Manage system refreshes, client copies, kernel upgrades, and application of Support Packages / OSS Notes.
Control startup/shutdown procedures and manage background job scheduling.
Transport & Change Management:
Administer the Transport Management System (TMS) and Correction & Transport System (CTS).
Ensure configuration and development objects move cleanly across Development, Quality Assurance, and Production environments.
Performance Tuning & Monitoring:
Monitor system health, system logs, memory buffer allocation, and workload distribution.
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in application servers and database layers.
Database & Security Administration:
Administer SAP databases (SAP HANA, Oracle, MS SQL Server, DB2) including space management and reorganizations.
Manage user administration, roles, profiles, and authorization checks.
Execute disaster recovery (DR) planning, high availability (HA) setups, and backup/restore strategies.
Integrations & Cloud Operations:
Manage interfaces and connections between SAP and non-SAP external applications.
Support hybrid or cloud-hosted SAP environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, SAP RISE).

Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
