Job Summary 

As a Scrum master, you will facilitate and coordinate Agile Scrum processes within our organization, ensuring the company can work collaboratively and efficiently to deliver high-quality solutions. 

 
You will work closely with the product team to ensure that the work progresses on schedule, within budget, and to the desired level of quality. Additionally, you will serve as a coach and mentor to our team – helping to foster a culture of continuous improvement and ensuring that the team is meeting its objectives consistently. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Organize and facilitate daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning sessions, retrospectives, and other Scrum-related events. 

  • Ensure that these meetings are productive, time-boxed, and focused on achieving the sprint goals. 

  • Assist the team in understanding Scrum practices, principles, and values. 

  • Encourage collaboration, transparency, and trust within the team. 

  • Support the team in self-organization and self-management. 

  • Identify and remove any obstacles that may impede the team's progress. 

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve any issues affecting the team's ability to deliver. 

  • Communicate project status, risks and issues to stakeholders. 

  • Assist the Product Owner in managing the product backlog. 

  • Facilitate clear communication between the Product Owner and the development team. 

  • Ensure that the team comprehends the product vision and goals. 

  • Facilitate the adoption of best practices and new tools to enhance team efficiency. 

  • Identify and troubleshoot obstacles that are hindering the team’s progress. 

  • Promote continuous improvement through retrospectives and feedback sessions. 

  • Track metrics and help teams deliver high-quality products/solutions on time. 

Qualifications 

  • 5+ years in the role as a Scrum Master  

  • Strong understanding of Scrum and Agile methodologies. 

  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities. 

  • Proven experience coaching and mentoring team members. 

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. 

  • Demonstrated experience facilitating meetings at multiple levels of an organization and an understanding of facilitation techniques. 

CP Payroll believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of this role's hiring range is $97,000 - 120,000. The actual salary will depend on a variety of factors, including but not limited to a candidate’s education, training, experience, location, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, all CP Payroll team members receive equity and participate in an annual bonus plan (7.5%), based on company and individual performance.
