Job Description

Reliable Security Staffing LLC is seeking professional, reliable, and vigilant Security Guards / Security Officers to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for protecting client properties, assets, employees, and visitors while maintaining a safe and secure environment.

Key Responsibilities

Safety and Security Monitoring

• Patrol assigned areas on foot or by vehicle to ensure the safety and security of premises
• Monitor surveillance systems, alarms, and access control points
• Identify and report suspicious activities, hazards, or security breaches
• Enforce company policies, procedures, and client-specific rules

Access Control

• Control entry and exit points by verifying identification and credentials
• Maintain visitor logs and issue access passes or badges
• Prevent unauthorized access to restricted areas
• Screen visitors, vendors, and contractors as required

Incident Response

• Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents
• De-escalate conflicts and manage disturbances professionally
• Contact emergency services (police, fire, medical) when necessary
• Provide first response support until appropriate authorities arrive

Reporting and Documentation

• Prepare detailed daily activity reports and incident reports
• Document observations, actions taken, and any irregularities
• Maintain accurate logs of patrols, inspections, and security checks
• Report maintenance or safety concerns to appropriate personnel

Customer Service

• Provide courteous assistance to clients, employees, and visitors
• Answer questions and provide directions when needed
• Maintain a professional and approachable demeanor at all times
• Represent Reliable Security Staffing LLC in a positive manner

Emergency Preparedness

• Follow established emergency procedures and protocols
• Assist with evacuations, lockdowns, and safety drills
• Remain alert and prepared to act during emergencies

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid security guard license (as required by state or local regulations)
• Strong observational and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
• Basic computer skills for report writing and system monitoring
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military service
• CPR/First Aid certification
• Familiarity with surveillance systems and access control technology
• Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills
• Customer service experience in a security or related field

Work Environment

Security Guards / Security Officers may be assigned to a variety of locations, including:

• Commercial buildings and office complexes
• Residential communities and apartment complexes
• Construction sites
• Retail establishments
• Event venues and public gatherings

The work environment can vary depending on the assignment and may include both indoor and outdoor settings. Officers must be prepared to work in different weather conditions and adapt to changing situations.

Work Schedule

This role requires flexibility, as security services are often needed 24/7. Shifts may include:
