Gpac is a national executive search firm specializing in recruitment for the electrical construction industry. We have been retained by a local electrical contractor in the area to find a Senior Electrical Estimator to join their team.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Lead the estimating process for large-scale commercial, industrial, and institutional electrical projects
Review project specifications, drawings, and scope to develop comprehensive and competitive bids
Conduct detailed take-offs, ensuring accurate material and labor cost estimates
Work closely with project managers, engineers, and field teams to ensure seamless project execution
Analyze historical cost data and supplier pricing to improve estimating accuracy
Attend pre-bid meetings and job site walkthroughs to verify project conditions
Build and maintain relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and clients to secure competitive pricing
Oversee junior estimators, providing mentorship and technical guidance
Collaborate on value engineering opportunities to optimize project costs and efficiency
Ensure all estimates comply with company standards, industry regulations, and contract requirements
Qualifications:
7+ years of electrical estimating experience with an electrical contractor
Expertise in estimating commercial, industrial, and institutional projects
Proficiency with estimating software such as Accubid, McCormick, or Conest
Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction methods, and cost control
Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and contracts with precision
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Stable work history
Previous experience in a leadership or senior estimating role
