POSITION SUMMARY:

Focus Interpreting is seeking a skilled Spanish Consecutive Interpreter to join our team in El Cerrito, CA. In this role, you will be responsible for facilitating effective communication between Spanish and English speakers during various events, meetings, and appointments.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide consecutive interpretation services for Spanish-speaking participants in meetings, conferences, and other settings.
• Listen carefully and accurately convey messages in both languages, ensuring clarity and understanding.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism during all interactions.
• Prepare for each assignment by familiarizing yourself with relevant terminology and the specific context of the engagement.
• Commit to continuous improvement of interpreting skills and language proficiency.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Fluency in both English and Spanish, with exceptional oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience in consecutive interpretation, with a strong understanding of the necessary techniques.
• Ability to convey meaning accurately while considering cultural nuances.
• Strong listening and analytical skills to ensure effective interpretation.
• Previous experience in similar roles is preferred.
