Description

As a Sr Field Service Technician here at Honeywell you will be responsible for providing advanced technical support and service to our customers in the field. You will troubleshoot repair and maintain complex systems and equipment ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction. Your expertise will be critical in resolving technical issues and supporting the deployment of Honeywell solutions.

You will report directly to our Field Service Supervisor and youll work out of our Columbia SC location on an On-site work schedule.

In this role you will impact customer satisfaction and operational efficiency by delivering timely and effective field service support contributing to the overall success and growth of Honeywells service operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform advanced troubleshooting repair and maintenance of Honeywell systems and equipment at customer sites.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior field service technicians and customers.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards company policies and regulatory requirements during all service activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues and improve service processes.
• Document service activities maintain accurate records and report on service performance metrics.

YOU MUST HAVE

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in field service or technical support roles preferably in industrial automation or related fields.
• Strong technical knowledge of complex systems including troubleshooting repair and maintenance skills.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and software relevant to field service operations.
• Experience working with control systems sensors and automation technologies.
• Ability to interpret technical documentation and schematics to resolve issues efficiently.

WE VALUE

• Associates or Bachelors degree in Engineering Electronics or a related technical field.
• Experience in industrial automation and control systems.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a field environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with safety standards and regulatory compliance in industrial settings.

Honeywell recently announced plans to sell its Intelligrated (IGS) business to American Industrial Partners (AIP). At this time we anticipate that the deal will close in the second half of 2026 subject to customary closing conditions. We expect this role dedicated to the IGS business will be part of this future transaction when it closes.
