Job Description

The Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC/CSAC-S) provides comprehensive treatment for individuals in the SA-IOP/PHP program under supervision.

Responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing and reviewing treatment plans, facilitating therapy sessions, and managing case coordination to support long-term recovery.

• Perform ASAM assessments and determine appropriate care levels.
• Create and revise individualized service plans based on client needs.
• Lead group and individual therapy sessions, and provide psychoeducation.
• Manage case coordination, including community resource referrals.
• Maintain accurate documentation and participate in team meetings.
• Use evidence-based approaches, ensure compliance with regulations, and conduct urine drug screens.

Qualifications include a certified CSAC or CSAC-S, a bachelor’s degree in a related field, at least 2 years of experience in substance abuse counseling, and knowledge of relevant guidelines. Skills required encompass strong communication, crisis intervention, documentation, and proficiency with EHR systems.

This full-time or part-time role offers benefits such as health, dental, vision, and life insurance, with pay ranging from $22.00 to $25.00 per hour. It involves in-person work in a drug-free environment, with hours between 20-40 per week.
