Job Description

Atlas Aircraft Center, Inc. the sister company of PlaneSense, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for its headquarters in Portsmouth, NH. The work schedule would typically be Monday - Friday, day shift, with other hours as needed.

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading assigned aircraft maintenance technicians, managing a cohesive workflow and achieving maintenance goals. The Maintenance Supervisor has the authority to coordinate the maintenance process in their respective areas, which includes the following summary of duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

  • Supervises, directs and coordinates activity of the night shift supervisor, and day shift maintenance leads and technicians.
  • Communicates with the AAC Maintenance Coordinator and PlaneSense Maintenance Control to determine priorities.
  • Coordinates maintenance performed both at and away from station by Atlas Aircraft Center personnel.
  • Ensures efficient and effective use of equipment, materials and personnel.
  • Ensures the proper continuity of maintenance and inspection items from the current to the next shift.
  • Ensures facilities, equipment, tools, and materials are maintained.
  • Ensures the availability of proper instructions and technical data for each job assigned.
  • Maintains an adequate flow of supplies and materials to assigned employees while anticipating and requisitioning needed materials to achieve maintenance goals.
  • Communicates with technical support for troubleshooting assistance and warranty requirements.
  • Works with business office regarding personnel matters, and work order and warranty concerns.
  • Ensures that company manuals, policies, and procedures are followed, in addition to applicable federal regulations and guidelines.
  • Performs personnel actions to include interviewing, hiring recommendations, scheduling, performance appraisals and problem solving.

Qualifications:

  • Commitment to safety, compliance, and quality standards
  • Demonstrated experience troubleshooting, inspecting, and maintaining aircraft
  • Strong knowledge of FAA regulations, maintenance manuals, and safety procedures
  • Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical documents
  • Ability to coordinate workflow across multiple departments, aircraft and technicians
  • Ability to mentor and support technicians
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must pass a DOT required pre-employment drug screen and thereafter submit to DOT mandated random drug and alcohol testing. 
  • Must pass a background check including a government required fingerprint-based criminal history records check.

Education and/or Experience:

  • FAA A&P License
  • Minimum of five years aircraft maintenance work experience
  • Minimum of two years supervisory, management, or leadership experience preferred

Computer Skills:

  • · Must possess a willingness to learn aviation and aircraft specific software.

As an FAA certified Part 145 repair station, we specialize in Pilatus PC-12 turboprop aircraft and Pilatus PC-24 twin engine jet aircraft support, including turbine aircraft repairs, annual inspections, phase inspections, hourly inspections, modifications, and Service Bulletin compliance, as well as Avionics repairs and sales.

Atlas Aircraft Center is part of the PlaneSense, Inc. headquarters in Portsmouth, NH. Our state-of-the-art, 40,000 square foot hangar is equipped with slab heating, high-tech lighting, and Megadoors. These special fabric doors provide superior insulation capabilities to protect staff from inclement weather while also shielding customers’ aircraft from the elements. The very high ceilings and door openings accommodate all types of aircraft. An additional 44,000 square feet is dedicated to shop space and corporate offices.

Our Nevada maintenance facility is located in Boulder City, NV and features 36,000 square feet of air-conditioned hangar space. This Atlas Aircraft Center facility provides valuable support for the PlaneSense® fleet, mainly serving fractional share clients in the Western part of the U.S.

Pay: $42.00 - $69.50 per hour
