Job Description

New Car Detailer Job Summary: We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable New Car Detailer to join our team. As a New Car Detailer, you will be responsible for ensuring that all vehicles are cleaned, polished, and well-maintained to meet our dealership’s high standards. You will play a key role in presenting our cars in the best possible condition for sale, contributing to our overall customer satisfaction and the success of our business. Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Exterior Cleaning: Wash, wax, and buff the exterior of vehicles to remove dirt, grime, and contaminants. Apply tire cleaner, polish chrome, and ensure all windows and mirrors are spotless.
  • Interior Cleaning: Clean and vacuum carpets, upholstery, and seats. Clean and detail the dashboard, center console, and door panels. Shampoo carpets or seats when necessary.
  • Engine Bay Cleaning: Carefully clean and detail the engine bay, removing dirt and debris while ensuring no damage is done to the vehicle’s components.
  • Inspection and Quality Control: Conduct a thorough inspection of each vehicle to ensure all areas are properly detailed. Address any issues and notify supervisors of any damage or repairs needed.
  • Light Maintenance: Perform minor maintenance tasks such as replacing air fresheners, checking tire pressure, and ensuring all vehicle features are working properly (e.g., lights, wipers).
  • Tools and Equipment Care: Maintain and store cleaning tools and equipment properly to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Customer Experience: Assist in preparing vehicles for customer deliveries, ensuring they meet expectations in cleanliness and presentation.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Previous experience in car detailing or an automotive-related field is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring the highest level of cleanliness and presentation.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, bend, crouch, and lift heavy objects, including cleaning equipment and supplies.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and take direction from supervisors.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication skills.
