TalentOne is looking to fill a very important role within the accounting and finance department.

We're looking for a Cost Accountant - Hybrid Opportunity!

This role will be directly fulfilled, meaning upon being hired, you will work directly for the client and not on the agency payroll.

• The candidate will work for a leading manufacturer in the frozen food Industry.

What's expected:

Candidate will prepare and analyze the following reports and data:

• Manufacturing variances, including labor, material usage, purchase price, and overhead variances.
• Routine cost and operational reports weekly and monthly.
• Cost journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Work with other department heads, i.e, Operations, to understand production activity impacting costs.
• Assist with inventory accounting, including cycle counts, physical inventories, and reconciliations.
• Support audits, preparing schedules and documentation related to inventory and costing.
• Assist with ad hoc cost analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure accurate cost data is collected and reported.

Here's what we'd appreciate:
This position is ideal for an early-career accountant looking to:

• Grow in manufacturing cost accounting.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or finance.
• 1-3 years of general accounting experience, with experience in general and cost accounting. Food industry experience preferred . Not necessary.
• Bilingual: English/Spanish Preferred , But Not necessary*.
• Basic understanding of inventory and cost accounting concepts.
• ERP experience preferred (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
