Position Description : We're looking for a collegial professional to join us as a Help Desk Coordinator in either our Los Angeles or Orange office, although some travel is required. This entry-level position provides a first point of contact for Information Systems (IS) with regard to trouble-related issues and requests.

Compensation and Benefits: The pay rate for this position ranges between $57,000 and $68,000 annually. This range is a good faith estimate provided pursuant to pay transparency laws. Actual pay rates will be based on various factors, including location, company geographic differentials, education level, and candidate qualifications.

Job Description : The Help Desk Coordinator provides quality service to the clients of IS at Degenkolb Engineers. When clients need assistance, the Help Desk Team determines the urgency of the issue or request, addresses or assigns the task, and then follows up.

Responsibilities :

  • Determine the urgency of Tickets/Requests.
  • Log the Ticket in the Help Desk ticket system.
  • Provide immediate support if possible, if not assign the Ticket to a member of the IS staff.
  • Follow-up to see that IS's commitments are fulfilled.
  • Document procedures and configurations.
  • Install equipment, including laptops, docking stations, and monitors.
  • Travel as needed.

Minimum Requirements :

  • Minimum of 6 months of relevant practical work experience in computer support.
  • Working knowledge of computers and terminology, printers, Office programs, and mobile devices.
  • Desire to work in the Computer/IT support field.
  • Desire to pursue education in order to expand knowledge of computer systems and technologies.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organized and have the ability to effectively manage multiple simultaneous tasks.
  • Self-motivated.

Desired Qualifications :

  • Experience installing Microsoft Windows 11.
  • Hardware and software troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint.
  • BS Degree in science or mathematical field.
