Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) – Job Description Position Summary The Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) provides high-quality mental health counseling services to individuals, couples, families, and/or groups. The LPC is responsible for conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions, and maintaining accurate clinical documentation. This role requires strong clinical judgment, ethical practice, and a commitment to supporting clients in achieving emotional wellness and personal growth. Key Responsibilities * Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and establish appropriate diagnoses * Develop and implement individualized treatment plans * Provide individual, group, couples, and/or family therapy * Utilize evidence-based treatment modalities (e.g., CBT, solution-focused therapy, trauma-informed care) * Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with agency, state, and insurance guidelines * Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed * Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and referral sources * Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards and state regulations * Participate in supervision, case consultations, and professional development activities Qualifications * Active state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) * Master’s degree in Counseling or a related mental health field * Knowledge of DSM-5 diagnosis and treatment planning * Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills * Ability to manage caseload effectively and maintain documentation standards * Experience with electronic health records (EHR) preferred Preferred Skills * Experience working with diverse populations * Training in trauma-informed care * Bilingual abilities (if applicable) * Crisis intervention experience Work Environment This position may be based in a private practice, outpatient clinic, community mental health setting. Work may include in-person and/or telehealth services.
