The Finishing Technician is responsible for applying finished component parts according to specifications in an accurate and professional manner.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Operate finishing machinery including bone rubber, flamer, knob engraver, cupper, striper, pad printer, drill press, clam shell sealer, and shrink wrap
Assemble decorative finishing components including dip colors, pad printing, labeling, knob engraving, laser fill, handle taping, striping as defined on the traveler and work order
Apply graphics using water decal, solution decal, or sticker application methods
Perform final decal inspection and removal of decal film
Package products for shipping, including boxing, clam shelling, shrink wrap, vacuum sealing, warranty cards, warning stickers, etc. according to specifications listed on the work order
Required:
One to three years manufacturing work experience
Ability to operate machinery
Ability to manually assemble
Must be willing and able to learn
Proficient in operating measuring tools including rulers, calculators, scales, Zahn cups, thermometer, stopwatch, and measuring tape
Ability to multi-task
Ability to problem solve and trouble shoot issues
Exceptional attention to detail
Ability to read and interpret documents such as specifications and procedures
Must have good verbal communication skills
Ability to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 15lbs
Ability to stand for long periods
Starting Wage:
$16.50 per hour with an increase to $17 after successful 90-day probationary period
Schedule:
Monday – Thursday 6:00am-4:30pm Friday overtime
